Duality a collection inspired by Lee Miller composed of 16 different styles, with structured shapes, angular cuts, power shoulder pads and all made of beautiful Italian and British fabrics, cashmere, mohair, silks. Special guest DJ was Nathan Whitey who has a new album coming out this month.

Big Jesus Burger has given birth to Brethren Just Below! What is Big Jesus Burger? The Big Cheese in recording studios in Sydney Australia. Located in a cool Surrey Hills warehouse, they now have an equally cool neighbour… a collective of artists studios run by visual artist Kevena Smith rightfully named “Brethren Just Below”
Amidst the resident artists are jewellery designer ELKE KRAMER, design studio GREEDY HEN, and paper engineer BENJA HARNEY best known for his recent Christmas windows for Hermés.
I fell in love with all of them on my recent visit, they really are some of the most talented working artists in Australia and it was amazing to find them all under the same roof. Each studio was a small universe of visual candy.

I love this because it looks like some weird photo cardboard cutout montage … but it’s not, just a bit of Sebastien action posing in his new Ksubi sunnies.

This was an intense installation at the grand palais by Christian Boltanski. The hand of destiny in the shape of a giant claw tears away and randomly plucks pieces of clothing from a giant pile of cast offs that represent the absent body. These garments are flung helplessly in the air, a confrontation with mortality…this death machine mechanically repeats its motion whilst in the back corridors of the grand palais a more utopic artwork is in progress. A surrealist set up of what appears to be a doctors waiting room, with attendants in lab coats… patients take a number and wait to be transformed into immortal living art. Boltanski is recording millions of peoples heart beats that will be archived for eternity on an island off Japan.

New work by André on show at Colette, 30 drawings, limited edition prints and suprises…

Loving the new Ksubi collection inspired by 80’s trailer park moms that wear loads of eyeliner, blue mascara and tight denim prints to drop off their kids at school… or something like that…

I discovered on my recent road trip a new law in Australia that dictates that tabacco can no longer be sold “visibly” so all tobacco products must be hidden. Personally I think this is a great marketing stratedgy, what we can’t or shouldn’t have is so much more desirable…
The nice lady at the service station opened one of the drawers for me, this is how cigarettes will now be sold in Australia or risk a 1 million dollar fine.
