had to work late, i’m so sad i missed hanna’s party last night at dalston superstore - abby worked so hard on her cake, before, at lunchtime, and after work as the icing wasn’t setting - it’s a chocolate cake with choc buttercream icing and hand-cut lettering - there was some stiff competition though - katie shillingford did a burger ‘n’ fries cake with mcdonald’s fries holder and soda, pippa greenbank did a little leopard print cake, and organic elaine did a flourless choc cake covered in black icing and white safety pins - yum
hanna’s star is rising - her massive interview with tori amos came out in sunday times magazine this weekend and she’s a regular contributor to i-d and sunday times style, as well as co-editing p.i.x with princess julia - there ain’t nothing she don’t know about bands, music history, and deep scene, as well as being a top-bill dj
