This is my first day in Abu Dhabi, Art Paris is opening on monday.
I went to the supermarket to stock up on Coke Zero and was happy to find out that Brian Eno is alive and well in Abu Dhabi, with many flavours to choose from.

The next days were spent wandering here and there especially in the hallways of the Emirates Palace, that has to be the biggest hotel in the world.
It is one kilometer long with endless halls of mirrors and gold on every possible square inch available.
You can easily jog from your room to the breakfast room and back.
There are a lot of exhibitions in the hotel, ArtParis is now on, and you can also see the plans of the museums and of future neighborhoods. Scale models seem to be the big thing around here.

For some reason, I often take pictures of trash, things rotting, rotten or distressed that lay around and that we bump into everyday.
There is a fascination about excess, meaning that we are comfortable enough that we can throw things away, or that we can check into other people’s trash like it was a treasure trove.
E-bay may be the biggest trash can ( excess cleanser ) of the world, but the best trash cannot be bought, only we can produce it and consume it.
